How To Change Windows 7 Log On Screen

Introduction

Sick and tried of the default windows 7 log on screen? Want to change the windows 7 log on screen? So, today i will be showing you how to change the windows 7 log on screen.

Requirments

Windows 7 Operating System
An image with a size less than 256 KB and with a file extension of .jpg also with a resolution of you desktop wallpaper

Procedure [MANUAL METHOD]

Press windows logo key+r and in the run dialog box that appers, type in "regedit" (without "")

Press Enter and a window like the one below will appear

Now unavigate to Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Authentication\LogonUI\Background

Now click on edit->new->DWORD(32 bit) and name it OEMBackground

Double Click on the new key you just created and in the value data field enter 1 and click on Ok

Close Registry Editor.

Now Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\oobe\

Create and open a new a new folder called info (if it is not present)

Create a new folder called backgrounds and open it

In this folder place your picture and rename it to backgroundDefault.jpg

Restart your computer for the changes to take effect.

Procedure [USING SOFTWARE]

You can use the tweaks log on changer from http://tweaks.com/software/tweakslogon/

Note

If the log on screen has not appeared, then check if your picture is of the correct size, resolution, extension, also check if you have edited your registry proprly and if you have created the nessary folders.
If you want the good old default windows background then delete the registry key you have created

How to Run Call of Duty 4 modern warfare in Windowed Mode[Easy Way]

According to me i think running call of duty in windowed mode is useful sometimes , for me on one occasion i was figuring out how to run manu-admin mod on my cod4 server so i could not keep minimizing the game again and again so i had to run call of duty 4 in windowed mode to make things easier.

Procedure to run Call of Duty 4 modern warfare in windowed mode :-
(NOTE :- THIS WORKS FOR BOTH SINGLE-PLAYER AND MULTI-PLAYER)

1.First create a shortcut of iw3mp.exe(for multiplayer) or iw3sp.exe(for single player) on your desktop and rename to cod4window(you can rename it to anything you are comfortable with..).

2.Right click on the shortcut and select properties.

3.The target field contains the link to the exe file of which you made the shortcut.For me its written as "D:\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\iw3mp.exe" so after the last double quotes you should type the following - +r_fullscreen "0".

4.(Important point) Remember that there should be a space between the double quotes and +r.

5.If you dont leave space you will get an error as shown in the picture below.

6.Thats it your done now you can play call of duty 4 modern warfare in windowed mode enjoy.

(NOTE :- If you want to play call of duty 4 modern warfare in full screen mode just remove +r_fullscreen "0" or just type +r_fullscreen "1")

How To Enable God Mode In Windows 7

Interduction

"God Mode" most of us might not have even heard of this term before. So, before we start what is this god mode anyway? God Mode is a special hidden feature in winodws 7 that allows the user to access all the system controls in just a single folder. In the god mode folder users can do all sort of thigs starting from chaging the mouse pointer to even creating a new HDD partation!

Requirments

Windows 7 Operating System

Procedure

Right click on the desktop and click on new folder.

For the name of the folder enter "GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}" (without "")

Now press enter and will get a new folder like this

Open the folder and borwse through the tasks you can now do with your computer!

Note

Use this only on windows 7 using this on windows xp or vista might really mess things up.

How to download a torrent

Introduction

As we all know lots and lot sof torrents are being uploaded each and every day and many of us dont know how to download or to use a torrent file properly. So, today I will teach you how to download a torrent

Requirments

A working internet connection.

Procedure

Download utorrent from http://www.utorrent.com/utorrent-plus/index/frmnvh (the free version will do)

Install and run utorent like you would with any winodws software

Now when utorrent is running you will get a window like this

Close the utorrnt window and open internet explorer and navigate to your favourite P2P website.

In the search bar present, key in the name of the torrent you want to download

Now in the above window, we need to look at a few things, Firstly look at the size of the torrent if the torrent size is perfect for and is within your download limit then proceed to the next step.

Now, look at the seeders (SE) if the seeders are large in number (above 500) then your donwlaod will extremely fast. But if you the seeders are really low (<20) then you torrent download will be crawling or sometimes it may not even start to donwload. If you have found the right toorent with the right number of seeders then proceed to the next step.

Now click on the name of the torrent you selected.

When the page opens read the description and see if it matches your requirments, if it does go the next step, if it dosent you will need to select a new torrent

Now read the comments. If more number of people have written down about the torrent than the people who have written good about it then selelect a new torrent.

Now click on "Download this torrent" button

In the dialog box that appears, click run.

Wait you havent yet completed the download procedure

Now, utorrent will open and you will get a window as below

And now all you have to do is to sit tight and wait till the torrent finishes downloading

Once finished, Enjoy!!!

Note

The completed torrent will either be in your downloades or in my documents.
You may shutdown your computer at any point of time, and the download will resume from the point where it left off once you reboot.
Please dont mess around with the utorrent setting as if you key in wrong values, then utorrent might start malfunctioning
